Discusion about how as an executive/league we tried something new that didn’t work.
the 10 “pre games” then re-seeding.
there were too many complaints to do this again, or to do it the way it was done.

Discussion of having mandatory reb on board and that they meet 1/2 way thru the season

League fees – current $745 discussed at length
Motioned called for increase in fees to 1100 + 50 deposit for key and scoop

Ryan brought up the use of umps.  cost would be $35-40 per game.  Increase would put league fees up another $400 per team.  total cost was given at approx $16000 as we play approx 400 games.
Nothing went further on this.  Too costly.
Discussion about problems re rules – Don’t change what is already there.  If teams decide to play their “own rules” makes it hard for other teams to play as they want to follow the rules that the league has.  For example, a “no walk game”.  This also poses problems for year end tournament as teams then say….”we haven’t played that rule all year”…. and the umps enforce the league rules they are given….
Discussion about respect of people (no name calling!!!) and respect of rules.  for example, not starting another inning after 7:50…  last inning MUST be called before then…  puts a time constraint on the 8 game.
Discussion about number of teams in the league.  Was tossed around about 32 teams (that is what we had last year).  Spoke about all the problems with rain outs, rescheduling, etc.  We don’t have diamond time to do this.

Discussion then was about how to treat the “27”… was discussed first in, with payment and if cheque, payment cleared would be in the league.

discussion about using sunset – no hardware – cost to league would be about $2000 (i couldn’t remember)

also that there are no fences and none in the foreseeable future being put there.
discussed that there would have to be “another set of rules specific to these diamonds”
town has us on first priority to use.

this was tabled at this time.

was brought up about on the long weekend that there are NO friday games.  scheduler (Sean G) will try to do this.
